Through The Lactation Network, I am usually able to accept health insurance for many of the plans below:

• United Healthcare (UHC)
• Aetna

• First Healthy and First Choice Health

• Multiplan (look for the logo on the back of your card)
• PNOA (look for the logo on the back of your card) 
• Sutter Health
• VA CCN - Optum East (Veterans Affairs Community Care Network)
• Velocity PPO

I use The Lactation Network (TLN) for health insurance. You can use the mother's insurance and/or the baby's insurance. Be sure to submit BOTH mom and baby's health insurance plans if they are on different plans. For example, sometimes the baby is on the dad's plan. 

***Click on the link below to see if your insurance covers consultations with me. If your insurance covers lactation visits, you get up to six visits with each birth (or more depending on your insurance plan). The first visit can be a prenatal breastfeeding home visit (similar a private breastfeeding class) or a home visit after the baby is born.

First, please make sure you completed an online form through The Lactation Network for BOTH the mom's health insurance plan and the baby's health insurance plan. 

Sometimes the baby is on the dad's health insurance plan, for example, and that plan may cover lactation visits if the mother's plan does not.  

If neither the mom or baby's health insurance covers lactation visits, I accept direct payment. I try to make my services available to as many people as possible. Please contact me to discuss payment options. Thank you!
